Wheelwright Historical Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to the preservation of the community heritage of Wheelwright, Kentucky, the creation of educational opportunities in the community, and the development of alternative economic structures to sustain the community. Projects include a volunteer-run community library, historic preservation of architectural assets related to the African American culture of the community and the economic history of the community, and development of a regional education center offering GED, college, and training classes.
